CargoPro Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 18, 2026
Last updated: April 18, 2026
This Policy applies to the CargoPro mobile application (including versions distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play, together the “App”) and to your visit to this website where this Policy is published (the “Site”). If this Policy conflicts with mandatory laws in your region, those laws govern.
1. Introduction and controller
CargoPro (“we,” “us”) is responsible for processing personal information related to the App and this Site. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information about you, and what choices and rights you may have.
When you download or use the App through Apple or Google, or read this Policy on the Site, you acknowledge that we may process information as described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App and relevant parts of the Site.
2. Information we collect
We follow data minimization and only collect what we need to provide features and meet compliance obligations. The categories below are structured to help you align disclosures with Apple’s App Privacy details, Google Play’s Data safety form, and store review requirements.
2.1 Information you provide or generate in the App
- Cargo and plan data: dimensions, weights, attributes, loading plans, and inputs related to your use.
- Container and pallet data: parameters for containers, pallets, and custom sizes you save.
- In-app purchase–related information: when you buy a subscription or in-app item, payment is processed by Apple or Google; we may receive transaction status, order identifiers, and subscription validity from the store. We do not collect your full payment card number or complete payment credentials.
2.2 Technical and usage information collected automatically
- Device and system information: device model, OS version, language and region settings, app version (for compatibility and troubleshooting).
- Identifiers: subject to platform policies, this may include advertising identifiers (if you have not limited tracking and we use such capabilities), or pseudonymous identifiers associated with the device or store account, for fraud prevention and subscription validation (as allowed by each system’s permissions and settings).
- Usage and diagnostic data: feature usage and crash or performance logs (if enabled) to improve stability and experience.
- Network status: e.g. connectivity, to complete purchase validation, updates, and security-related communications.
2.3 When you visit this Site
This Site may use cookies or similar technologies (for example, Google web analytics) to measure traffic and improve the page experience. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling them may affect some functionality.
3. How we use your information
We use information for lawful, legitimate, and necessary purposes, including to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve core App features (loading calculation, preview, data storage, etc.);
- Process in-app purchases, validate receipts, and prevent unauthorized transactions;
- Troubleshoot, monitor security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requests;
- Send important notices about the App or respond to your inquiries where permitted by law or with your consent;
- Fulfill legal obligations.
Where required by applicable data protection law, we may rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing the service), or your consent as the legal basis; where the law requires separate consent, we will obtain it in context.
4. Storage, retention, and security
4.1 Local and cloud
Core business data is stored primarily on your device. To validate receipts, provide backup (if you enable it), multi-device sync (if available), or other features we describe, some data may be transmitted with encryption and processed or stored by us or subprocessors.
4.2 Receipt and subscription validation
To verify subscriptions or one-time purchases, we may communicate with Apple and/or Google servers and process receipts or tokens they return.
4.3 Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy or as required by law; afterward we delete or anonymize it unless a longer period is legally required.
4.4 Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures. No electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure; please also keep your device and accounts safe.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or entrust processing to third parties in the following situations (under contract and law):
- Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, in-app purchases (StoreKit), and related user services;
- Google LLC and affiliates — Google Play distribution, Google Play Billing, and related services;
- Analytics, hosting, support, or anti-fraud providers — only as needed for their services and consistent with this Policy;
- Legal and safety — to comply with laws, regulations, or lawful requests, or to protect users, the public, or our rights and safety.
Third parties process information under their own privacy policies and terms; we encourage you to read Apple’s and Google’s published notices.
6. Your choices and rights
6.1 Access, correction, and deletion
Where available in the App or by contacting us (see below), you may request access, correction, or deletion of information we can process under applicable law. If the law provides exceptions to deletion, we will explain within legal limits.
6.2 Permissions and system settings
You can manage permissions and settings related to the App (e.g. network, analytics-related options) in your device settings as offered by each platform.
6.3 Subscriptions and purchases
Payments are processed by Apple or Google. You can cancel or change subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account subscription settings, subject to each platform’s rules.
6.4 Regional rights (summary)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or other applicable regions, you may have rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority, where conditions are met. If you are in California or other U.S. states with similar laws, you may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of “sale” or certain “sharing” (we do not sell personal information). Submit requests via the contact below; we may need to verify your identity.
7. Third-party services and links
7.1 App stores and payments
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Their handling of your account and payment information is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
7.2 Analytics and Site tools
We may use analytics or crash reporting tools permitted by each platform to improve the product; if this Site uses Google measurement services, that processing is also subject to Google’s policies.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have collected such information as a parent or guardian, contact us and we will delete it in line with applicable law.
9. International transfers
In operating a global service, your information may be accessed, processed, or stored outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, as applicable.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through the App, by updating the “Last updated” date on this page, or by other reasonable means. Continued use may indicate acknowledgment; where the law requires separate consent, we will obtain it.
